IndianaHauntedHouses.com recently sat down with Catherine Hannel-Bryant of Hall's Haunted Halls, to discuss what's new at Hall's Haunted Halls for the 2018 Halloween Season! Located in Monrovia, this not-for-profit haunted attraction enjoys giving locals the terror they've had an appetite for all year long. Read below to find out what you're in for this year!

What's new at Hall's Haunted Halls for 2018? Do you have any new rides, attractions, or special features that Haunt Seekers should know about?

For 2018 we have made several scene changes; especially since a lot of people return every year. Incorporated some of the newer movies, the Nun, Pennywise from 2017. Must come and see what's new.

What are you most excited about for the 2018 Halloween Season?

Most excited about the new layout of Halls Haunted Halls; although some themes were kept they are no longer where they once were...

What differentiates Hall's Haunted Halls from other local haunts in Indiana?

I don't really know of many "non-for-profit" Haunted Houses in Indiana. Additionally, all helpers are Volunteers and the reason we do the Haunted House is to keep the school as a piece of history.

How long has Hall's Haunted Halls been in business? Can you tell us a bit more about Hall's Haunted Halls's history?

Halls Haunted Halls has been in business for 10+ years I believe and was created in order to keep the school as a historic site in Monrovia Indiana.

What's your favorite experience since opening Hall's Haunted Halls?

Personally, my favorite experience since the opening of Hall's Haunted Halls are the new faces I get to see each year that come for a good scare.

How long is a typical haunt experience at Hall's Haunted Halls from start to finish?

Typically the haunt experience takes 10 minutes from the front door to the exit of the maze- hoping that you are able to find your way out.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how scary would you say Hall's Haunted Halls is? Why?

I would say depending on the actors, placement, etc. Hall's Haunted Halls has the ability to be a 10 on the scary scale. Never know what to expect or which corner your next haunt is waiting. In my opinion the school is scary itself without the actors.

Does Hall's Haunted Halls's property have any real haunted history? Do you have a spooky encounter you'd like to share?

I don't know of Hall's Haunted Halls having any real haunted history; however, it sure looks haunted now that it is no longer a utilized school.

What inspired you to open up a haunted attraction? What's your favorite part of the business?

The inspiration for opening the haunted house was to raise funds to ensure the school would remain a part of history in Monrovia Indiana.

How has new technology (i.e. animatronics, special props, etc) helped you to enhance Hall's Haunted Halls?

Over the years, Hall's Haunted Halls has experienced a lot of upgrades, changes, etc.

Can Hall's Haunted Halls accommodate large groups? How many people can experience Hall's Haunted Halls together as a group?

Although Hall's can accommodate large groups, at the front door they are usually asked to separate into groups of about 6 to 7 get the full scare effect.

Does Hall's Haunted Halls offer any special deals, discounts, or coupons?

Hall's Haunted Halls does offer discounts if you purchase your tickets online in advance. Additionally, we are looking into other deals, discounts, etc. for upcoming years.

Anything else you'd like to let us know about Hall's Haunted Halls?

This is 100% a volunteer operation. If you are looking for a way to give back to the community and like to scare people, we can always use the additional help. This is a great way to ensure the school remains a piece of history and isn't tore down- so make sure to come out for a great scare. Although we close at 11 pm, if you purchase your tickets and are in line by 11 pm, you will get to go through Halls Haunted Halls.
