As Indiana's oldest public library, it's no surprise that the Willard Public Library is known for being haunted. The infamous ghost known to roam the library is that of The Grey Lady, who has been spotted since 1937! Rumor has it that a custodian went to stoke the coal furnace in the basement and encountered a lady dressed in all grey. The custodian noticed that the beam of his flashlight passed right through the woman, causing him to flee the premises. He eventually ended up quitting after witnessing The Grey Lady one too many times.
