The ghost that is believed to haunt the University of Notre Dame is a former footballer of the school, George Gipp. The term that references him is "Win one for the Gipper." His ghost is known to haunt Washington Hall ever since his death from strep throat here in December, 1920. He manifests at night as footsteps, noises, slamming doors, the sound of someone on the rood and the feeling of being shoved. His apparition has also been seen, sometimes giving a student a friendly pat on the back. Warrior ghosts on horseback are also known to haunt the university. They are said to be from the Native American Patawatami tribe and are believed to ride up and down the front steps of Columbus Hall, which rumors say was built over an ancient burial ground.

I found a football with someone named Alice engraved in it. I took it home and I still have it but it’s in my closet somewhere
