Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery
Greencastle, IN 46135
A 1950's policeman's spirit has been known to sit inside the graveyard here with a blue light. Other apparitions and phantom dogs with red glowing eyes have also been seen, and a cave that is on the cemetery grounds has some eerie stories surrounding it.

Been here several times! I love the location! So peaceful and inviting, I could easily stay here for hours. Received no reading on our EMF reader and very little amount of words on our spirit box. Also the cave is located in the cow pasture.

Id love to know more about this cemetery but I live too far away. Is there anybody local who could photograph the headstones/markers and post to Billiongraves.com? This would be a terrific public service! Thanks in advance!

I don’t discount any of the experiences people have posted. I’ve been to many services in this cemetery as many of my paternal side relatives are buried there. My own parents being new “residents,” as well. I’ve not encountered any paranormal or otherwise strange events during any of my visits. I visited my parents & said “hello” to other relatives today, and just enjoyed the quiet, peaceful surroundings & view from the top of the hill. I will most certainly try to be more attuned any unusual activity the next visit there.

I live in the Greencastle area and my mom and I are into paranormal things so we’re always trying to look for new places to go check out. So anyways, a few years ago, we went to the Boone Hutcheson Cemetery. We were just going to walk around for a bit then and head back home. It was sometime during the day that we went there. As we were driving up the hill we saw something odd. There was an older model police car parked up the hill at the cemetery. It was dark and light brown, roughly a 2000s model cop car. We thought it was weird for multiple reasons, why there was an older cop car and why it was parked at the cemetery as if patrolling it? We shook it off and decided we would just go there pretending to visit a relatives grave. We got up the hill and parked somewhere near the back, the cop car was still there. My mom mentioned seeing the officer wave at us from the drivers seat, I didn’t see him so I couldn’t say if that actually happened or not. I do remember the windows being very tinted though.
After walking around the cemetery we found a tombstone with the same last name as us and that’s when we decided we were going to “visit” them. So, we’re about 10 feet or so from the cop car and we’re facing that direction. A few minutes pass and we looked up to see we were all alone in the cemetery. The cop car was gone. It had completely vanished. Those of you that have been there know of the gravel roads and the view from the top of the hill. The cop car was no where to be found. We would’ve heard it drive off surely… after that we chose to leave the cemetery. We ended up getting stuck on nothing on the road leading out and eventually made it free and left from there. When I got back home, I started researching about the cemetery. That’s when I saw it mention a police officer with a blue light… to this day it’s still a mystery to me why we saw that cop car at the cemetery.

So I’ve been here with friends multiple times, one time we went we found an old rusted car crashed into the woods. This car is in the woods to the northwest if you’re facing the entrance of the cemetery. I’ve also had experiences of seeing a lady in a white dress on the road leading to the cemetery. As well as animals acting very out of the ordinary. I’m doing more research now but I feel like there is something more to this

So, my name is Jason. I’ve been into the paranormal and supernatural for a little over 5yrs. One of my favorite type of places to investigate are known haunted cemeteries with creepy/crazy backstories. I’ve been out to B-H Cemetery about a dozen times or so. And what I can tell you based on my investigation is that the spirits of B-H Cemetery are eager to speak to you. As it approached the 3am “spirit hour”, I began setting up my equipment and once 3am hit I began my investigation by walking around the cemetery just asking your basic type equestions…and like pretty much every other time I’ve been there, the spirits started talking and warning me over and over about the “scary shadow” that lurks in the surrounding woods and to stay away from there, and what’s crazy is that every time that I would step off the walking area to make an attempt to walk towards those woods, the spirit box would start going off asking me not to go in there constantly… besides that the constant feeling of being watched, the heavy feeling, and most off I that I experienced is that when walking around the cemetery’s gravel road path is that when you’re on one side you can hear what sounds like someone is walking on the other side . This cemetery has an unsettling feeling about it. So if you’re a seasoned investigator or just an paranormal enthusiast, grab your equipment and check out Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery in Putnam County Indiana. You won’t be disappointed!

The last post mentioned he’d heard of spirts messing with cars by stealing there energy from the battery. About 2 months ago I went there a lone and was dropped off cause my car was being serviced. I investigated for about 2 hours and I was sitting with my equipment eating a sandwich and I got this feeling like I need to get out of here. I’ve been on over a 100 investigations and I sense energies but this was the first time I got the feeling that I better leave. So I call a friend to come get me and it takes him two hours to get there. I told him to turn the car which was brand new off so he could see how dark it was there. He went to start the car and we are talking 30 seconds after he turned it off and the battery is completely dead. Two girls he had with him both screamed at the same time cause they heard a growl next to them. I broke out my digital recorder and started asking questions and in the last 7 seconds of the recording you hear 2 hissing sounds! Needles to say we had to wait another two hours for a jump start.
