Old Jail Inn

This building dates back to 1879 and was once a courthouse. It now operates as a bed and breakfast inn with a twist, it still maintains a lot of its original features from when it was the town jailhouse. Visitors have reported hearing disembodied footsteps, a foreboding male voice and have seen the spirit of a male inmate wandering the corridors during the night.

Did not know the history of this Place prior to staying. We went yearly for the Italian Festival. Stayed here in 2007? During breakfast the next morning, having conversation with my friends. I was talking about how my boyfriend, now husband, kept rubbing my head and brushing my hair away from face. He said it wasn't him. I was told about an uncle that lived with family there who took care of the jail. He used to put his niece to sleep by doing this. Evidently he was killed in a fire there years ago. Creeped.me out, but at least it was kind, and not aggressive towards me.
