  • this was an experience for sure ..

Idk where to start, but this is going to be a long one for sure. My friend, myself, and my boyfriend all decided it would be a great idea to go ahead and go to poseys chapel (cemetery) last night around 12-1am. As soon as we pulled up we see an orange cat that walked directly up to our car until it was at the entrance of the gate and booked it, ran behind the tree where the preacher supposedly hung himself and just disappeared after that… It felt like it wanted, and was waiting for us to follow it. We all took a second to finally get out of the car, once we did my friend (let’s call her Layla) heard what sounded like metal clinging against metal ONE singular time. Other than that was dead silent. No wind. No rustling. No nothing, just our breath in the air. I immediately stated I felt something very negative coming from the left, which was we’re all the gravestones were, almost like something was watching us and preying on us. We then turn towards the woods, staring into nothing also feeling like something is just watching until Layla hears a sound of a leaf crunching. One singular footstep. If this were an animal I believe it would’ve been multiple leaves crunching. It wasn’t rustling, it sounded as if someone stepped on a crunchy leaf. Still dead silent with no wind. Once we turned our backs to the cemetery, I said “I don’t feel comfortable with my back being turned right now.” We started to turn around to walk back to the car, IMMEDIATELY out of nowhere, the wind started HOWLING, screaming in our ears. It was almost like whatever was there was begging us to stay, it didn’t want us to leave. It was angry that we were leaving. We booked it and pulled off. As we were driving back, we felt like we were being chased, or something was definitely still with us in the car. We talked about what happened and decided to go back. Once we pulled into someone’s driveway to turn around, the person’s address we just so happened to pull into was a 666 address… Something warned us not to go back, so we didn’t for quite some time. We went back to michigan city and bought incense to cleanse ourselves and the car, but afterwards DID end up going back, I guess for closure ? I’m not sure why we did when we had EVERY SIGN not to go back. We continuously saw MANY deer throughout the night, which is a sign of protection. Once we got there again, Layla and myself decided not to get out of the car, but my boyfriend did and wanted to just walk around. Once he got out of the car and turned the flashlight on from his phone, his phone died and got back in the car immediately and we decided to leave. My daughter then started face timing my phone, but it was only vibrating. The call wouldn’t show up on my phone screen and when I kept hitting the power button to turn my phone on, it wouldn’t budge…. My boyfriend later then said he saw an apparition of a male figure standing next to one of the headstones near the hill, but he didn’t say anything because he didn’t want to freak us out. We kept seeing moths, which if you don’t know is a bad omen for death. Once we got home, there flies swarming in front of our apartment door which has NEVER been there before…. which is a sign of a very evil entity… We cleansed our self and our home immediately and put salt in front of our door. Mind you, last night was a waning gibbous blood moon. There was a lot more freaky things that happened last night but it was at different locations. (Devils bridge, bloody 20, and the old pine school that we went to afterwards) If you don’t know the backstories behind those places either, I would look into it. After all of that, it still feels like something is calling me to go back there. Also describing the orange cat, spiritually known for a trickster… The entire vibe felt as if it were a trickster spirit, something like the siren song, reeling you in, welcoming singing, and then it drowns you. It attacks. We did tarot readings once we got home to ask really WHAT happened with that, and we did pull a card that specifically explained the siren song. Trickster entity. Orange cat. Don’t forget once it ran off, it ran to the tree where the preacher allegedly hung himself. There was another card we pulled that just confirmed so much… It just so happened to be “hanging man” card….. Are these coincidences or paranormal awakenings ?

  • Messes with my car

Had something tapping on my window so hard it almost broke the glass, very bad vibes here like it does not want you to be there, we had to force ourselves to get out of the car

  • Cool place

Lived nearby my whole life. Been there during the day and late at night. Story we heard was different though. Something about a young woman waiting for her boyfriend there. He never shows, and she hung herself from the pavillion or something. Heard lots of people talk about ghost cars following you down the road near there and disappearing. Just has a creepy vibe to it, day or night. Very dark, we didn't even bring a flashlight when we went in after dark. So that made it even creepier. Think we heard some sort of noise and booked it outta there.

  • Spooky

Pulled up, it was pitch black and completely quiet. Walked up to the gate and not even 30 seconds after we’d arrived we heard a distorted laugh come from the woods. Needless to say, we left moments later. We weren’t expecting it to be so in-your-face as soon as we got there and it caught us off guard, we’re definitely going back soon

  • Red Eyes Following Us?

I first heard of this place many years ago from my sister. She talked about how she had seen red eyes coming out of the woods, shadows, strange lights, a ghost car, and so on. I recently got back into ghost hunting, so I decided to check it out with my bf and our friend. Soon after arriving I felt as if I was being watched. I could definitely tell there was spirits there. My friend and I saw a shadow brush against the skinnier tree. I shined my flashlight on it and then nothing. We decided to walk around a bit more, and I took a bunch of photos. The main pictures that had the most activity were taken on the pavilion. In all 3 of these photos you can see a shadow that has been following us with glowing eyes. I didn't feel any malicious energies here, but my sister claimed to have. However, I didnt stay as long as she did so I cant say for sure. Its definitely worth the visit, and I'll be going back again.

  • Ghost Car

I was a teenager and we use to go riding out in the country and get lost for hours. We took a tape recorder and place it on the side of the fence from the road and then picked it back up. We started driving and started playing the recording. It sounded like a campfire burning but while listening to it. We started getting followed by car that was turning on and off their lights and then brights and then off... we were on a road with no turn off roads and the car just disappears. Talk about being freaked out.

  • Shadows

I've grown up in new buffalo so this was a local legend to me. Eventually my friends and I grew the courage to visit it and had something strange happen. Overall there was a ominous feeling about the place. Standing under the pavilion I saw a shadow peeking out at us from behind a tree. I asked one friend and he said "yeah, I was waiting for someone else to mention it first" it kept going back behind the tree and popping out on random sides. We all simultaneously said "right, left, left, right" as he kept reappearing

  • Definitely strange vibes

I grew up very close to here so I have several stories. First, stories are that snow never sticks on the little pavilion thing where the church used to be even though we get lots of snow. Second, I was up there at night with my friends and I got an eerie feeling and then I kept tripping and feeling things grab at my legs.. Third, I went to visit the grave of a child I know buried there at sunset and a black cat came out of nowhere and started making the strangest sounds I've ever heard.. it's like it was trying to speak. I thought I was going crazy but my cousin was with me and confirmed it was happening.. we got back in the car and the car immediately and the cat dissapeared back into the brush..

  • WRONG!

The church did NOT burn down 150 years ago. It was burnt down in the 1970s by vandals. The church was not in use by then.
